Terms & conditions
1. GENERAL
1.1 The Slovenian Global Forum (hereinafter: the Event) is a professional event organized by the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, Kotnikova ulica 5, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia (hereinafter: the Organizer).
1.2 The Organizer reserves the right to modify the programme, speakers, venue, or other elements of the Event due to organizational, technical, or other justified reasons. The Organizer also reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event.
1.3 The Event is held live. Certain parts of the programme may be conducted in a foreign language, which will be clearly indicated in the programme.
1.4 By attending the Event, participants acknowledge and agree that they may be photographed and recorded. The Organizer may use photo, audio, and video materials for:
- promotion of the Event and future activities,
- publication on websites and social media,
- informational and educational purposes.
Participants waive any claims related to the use of such materials, except where otherwise provided by applicable law.
1.5 Participants attend the Event at their own risk. The Organizer shall not be liable for:
- loss or damage of personal belongings,
- any injuries sustained by participants,
- any other incidents not resulting from gross negligence of the Organizer.
1.6 The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry to or remove any individual from the Event in case of inappropriate behaviour, safety concerns, or violation of these Terms.
2. EVENT REGISTRATION
2.1 Registration for the Event is conducted via the online registration system or other methods specified in the invitation or on the Event website.
2.2 Upon successful registration, participants will receive a confirmation via email.
2.3 By registering, participants confirm that:
- they have read these Terms and Conditions,
- they fully agree with them.
2.4 The Organizer reserves the right to limit or reject registrations (e.g. due to capacity limits or other organizational reasons).
3. EVENT PARTICIPATION
3.1 Upon arrival, participants must identify themselves in accordance with the Organizer’s instructions (e.g. registration confirmation).
3.2 Registration or accreditation is personal and non-transferable, unless otherwise specified by the Organizer.
3.3 The Organizer may establish specific rules for access to certain parts of the programme (e.g. limited capacity, prior registration).
4. CANCELLATION AND CHANGES OF PARTICIPATION
4.1 Participants may cancel their registration in writing via the Organizer’s contact details published on the Event website.
4.2 The Organizer may define:
- cancellation deadlines,
- refund conditions (if applicable),
- the possibility to transfer participation to another person.
4.3 Failure to attend the Event does not constitute automatic cancellation.
5. EVENT CHANGES AND CANCELLATION
5.1 Organizator si pridržuje pravico do spremembe:
- the programme,
- speakers,
- schedule,
- venue.
5.2 V primeru odpovedi dogodka bo organizator o tem obvestil prijavljene udeležence v najkrajšem možnem času.
5.3 Organizator ne odgovarja za stroške udeležencev, povezane z udeležbo (npr. potni stroški, nastanitev).
6. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
6.1 Organizator obdeluje osebne podatke udeležencev v skladu z veljavno zakonodajo (GDPR, ZVOP-2).
6.2 Personal data is collected and processed for the following purposes:
- registration and organization of the Event,
- communication with participants (organizational and logistical information),
- information related to the Event and related activities,
- information on activities, programmes and content of the Ministry related to the Event, where an appropriate legal basis exists,
- statistical analysis and improvement of event organization.
6.3 By registering, participants consent to the processing of their personal data for the above purposes.
6.4 Participants may at any time request:
- access to their personal data,
- rectification,
- erasure,
- restriction of processing or objection.
6.5 More detailed information is available in the Privacy Policy published on the SGF website.
7. COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION
7.1 The Organizer may send participants:
- information about the Event (programme, updates),
- logistical information,
- invitations to related events,
- information about activities, programmes and content of the Ministry related to the Event.
7.2 Participants may unsubscribe from certain types of communication at any time; however, this does not affect the receipt of essential information related to the Event.
8. FINAL PROVISIONS
8.1 These Terms and Conditions enter into force on the date of publication on the Event website.
8.2 Matters not governed by these Terms shall be subject to the laws of the Republic of Slovenia.
8.3 Any disputes shall be resolved amicably where possible; otherwise, they shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent court in Slovenia.
